In October and November, with the support of local auctioneers Mallams, the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire is running an online auction to raise a significant sum for the High Sheriff's Charitable Fund, with a third of the proceeds going to YoCO.
This can't be done without some fabulous and prestigious auction lots. Could you donate something wonderful?
Tickets for leading sports events? An adventure? A holiday? A weekend away? A dinner? An artefact? A once-in-a-lifetime experience? An event with a celebrity? A unique work experience placement?
The publicity for this prestigious auction will be widespread across Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties with brochures (online and paper) going to over 5,000 people. All donors are invited to put their logo and a brief resume of their business alongside the photos and the description of the auction lot.

We ran a great stall with tombola, raffle and water or wine bottles!
Over 1,000 runners signed up for this year's Blenheim 7k events, and we had another glorious sunny day.
One of our groups ran a bag drop stall to raise money. Here are some comments from the kids:
“While there was a 7K run we took their bags for them. At first it was an unsuccessful day and then people came running over and begging for us to have their bags. We made an amazing £144 so at the end it was a good day!” Courtney
“The runners paid us a donation of £2 per bag. They collected them at the end of the race and we raised around £140. It was a good atmosphere. I can't wait for future fund raisers.” Ellie
Monday 1 May - 9am May Day Morning
Music and breakfast at Dorchester Abbey:
“On May morning me and my group went to Dorchester Abbey at half past eight in the morning. It was difficult as I'm not normally a morning person and I hate getting up early, but helping people and families by taking their breakfast over for them made me feel very helpful. That was our first fund raiser.” Courtney
“When we got there we had to serve coffee and breakfast to the families that arrived at the church. I was in a joyful mood. Once we had finished serving breakfast the choir sang their songs. Whilst they were singing we were tidying up the plates and cups and washing up.” Chris

We will be having The Grand Launch of YoCO - watch the press for the full story
Thursday 9 February
Fifteen years of the Nasio Trust and the start of a new charity to take the youth work of Nasio in Oxfordshire even further, were two excellent reasons for a great gathering of keen Nasio supporters in Dorchester in February.
Young people who have already volunteered in Kenya represented groups from Abingdon Foyer, Berinsfield, Dalton Barracks, Wallingford, and Wantage. They enthusiastically shared their stories with Nasio leaders and with the trustees of the new charity Youth Challenge Oxfordshire (YoCO). Having had the life changing experience of volunteering in Kenya, many described how it had influenced them to make their own exciting plans from training to be a chef or a youth leader to applying for courses at university such as international development, anthropology, nursing, teaching, sociology, law and medicine.
The new charity, YoCO, will develop the Nasio Trust's work with youth groups in Oxfordshire to provide a programme leading to a volunteering trip to the Nasio Trust in Kenya. With the young peoples' enthusiasm to return to Kenya and to continue to work in the UK as ambassadors for the new charity YoCO, the work of the Nasio Trust will certainly continue to thrive. Plenty to celebrate indeed!
